I want to limit my kid's devices acess to the internet. Can anyone tell me how I can do this ? I'd like to disable after a certain time, the scheduling functionality looked ideal, but I don't know how to add devices to a named schedule

Thank you for your reply. I think I may try the modem that Dwarfy suggests.

I ended up changing my modem to a tp-link archer ax50. Works without issues and gives me the options I need

Thank you for replying. Can you control the schedule of a wired ethernet connection with the tp-link archer ax50?

Perfect - thank you so much!

Just a word of caution the tp-link archer ax50 is a router and does not contain a modem, so you would need to either double NAT it, or get a separate modem!

You are right of course and prior to switching to full fibre I used an archer vr 900 which does have a modem

Oh - that sounds a bit complicated. Would it work with the modem provided by vodafone?

The device that Vodafone supply is a modem/router, it cannot be set up in a modem only mode. So if you use the VF device you would need to "Double NAT". For some people this is not a problem at all, for others it's complete chaos!

I'm not very techie, so I don't know what the simplest solution might be. I have Vodafone's Pro Superfast 1 broadband plan. I am considering just getting a dongle so that I can control my son's screen time through the vodafone app, but it would be better if he could keep the ethernet in terms of speed I think, as he spends his time online gaming with friends. The problem is that his time on screens is really out of control and affecting his school attendance quite badly so something needs to be done.
