Just signed up to Full Fibre 150 Broadband with Xtra. Apple TV included and I have the Apple TV 4K box up and running, but its not free. So how do I get started, do I need to create an Apple account ?

Yes, you need an Apple account to use Apple TV. From memory the box itself applied the free period as soon as I signed in.

OK thanks, I thought that but it looks a faff.

Every paid streaming service will need you to have an account, no different to Netflix, Sky etc.

The problem with Apple is they expect you to be using all their services.

I set up an Apple account but still cannot access the free 3 month trial. Any help appreciated.

I found this on the web:

Redeem 3 months of free Apple TV+ now.
  1. Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.
  3. The offer should be presented immediately after you launch the app. ...
  4. Tap Enjoy 3 Months Free.

3-Month Offer

Nop, only get the one week trial offer. Tried multiple times always the same. Cant find anyone at Vodafone to contact.

We understand how concerning this must be @Fedupfone. You'll receive an email up to 21 days after the broadband contract goes live with everything needed to set up and activate the Apple TV+ subscription. If it was an upgrade, you'll receive this email within 7 days of your broadband going live. Please ensure to check your spam/junk email folder too.

@Jason

That's different to how it worked when I got my box from Vodafone back in 2020, I'm surprised Vodafone don't make that obvious to people when they take up the offer.
