IF YOU ARE USING A THIRD-PARTY ROUTER THAT WORKS 100% WITHOUT BUGS.PLEASE PM ME THE MAKE AND MODEL SO I CAN UPDATE THE LIST
The first thing you need to do is ask Vodafone for your username and password. live chat with Vodafone is best because you can copy and paste the name and password into the router. ( some users did write it down wrong. password is lower and upper case. username watch out for zero and o )

TP-Link Archer VR400 V3 AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Dual Band (1st Advanced tab, change the Operation Mode to Wireless Router Mode (the ONT is acting as a modem, hence it will not work if you are in DLS Modem Router Mode). 2nd Do not enable VLAN ID or it will not work! Vodafone will tell you to set it to 101, if you do this it will not work! Keep the default MTU size (1480), do not change it to 1492, as suggested in several posts in this thread, or it will not work!.

@Ripshod Thank you for the feedback.
My comment related specifically on how to set up a particular router:: TP-Link Archer VR400 V3 AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Dual Band
Using: Gigafast (full-fibre) supplied by BT Openreach.
I had spent hours on the phone with Vodafone technical support who gave me all sort of incorrect info (i.e. that my router was not connecting as its 'serial number had to be updated on the tp-link portal'; they got me to contact tp-link who told me it was nonsense and told me how to make it work immediately).
Vodafone also told me that once they removed the vodafone router's registration on their server to use my own router, the Vodafone router would no longer work - that was also incorrect; I switched between routers several times as I was testing VoIP and they both connect without issue.

Hoping most of this will be of significant use for reinstalling my TP-LINK Archer AX11000...
Thanks (in advance) for the help.

Still looking for a suitable 3rd party router. Has anyone had success with the eeero +?
Not seen many posts on here about it.

It's very unlikely that any 3rd party router/mesh won't work with Vodafone FTTP (full fibre).
What happened with the Deco's on your other thread?

I decided the Decos were a bit of overkill as the Wi-Fi signal is quite good throughout the house anyway but with the Decos connected the speed was about half what I normally get.
Can’t get the eero to work either so must be something I’m doing wrong 🙄

If you got the Deco's working, then at least you know your username and password are correct.
I assume you have followed How do I set up eero? – eero Help Center, when it refers to a modem, it will mean the ONT in your case.
The only likely problem, if you are on CityFibre, is you may have to supply the VLAN, which is 911.

I didnt get the Decos working with PPoE only as a bridge. I’m on Openreach so VLAN shouldn’t be an issue.

It's still possible the PPPoE credentials are wrong then. With the number of devices you haven't managed to get to work, some of which should be a doddle to setup (the TP-Links), it's really the only likely scenario.

@Jayach Its quite possible the credentials are still wrong knowing Vodafone!

@NGM1 Have you seen this article?
https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056800392-Most-Common-UK-ISP-s-and-How-to-Set-Up-eero-...
"Setting up eero in the UK is no different than setting it up elsewhere - you still need to have an internet connection delivered to your place by your service provider. Regardless if you have your eero purchased directly from the retail network or received from a partner, we’ve listed below some of the most common ISPs with their respective configurations. "
https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/9918307767963-Setting-Up-eero-with-Vodafone-UK
"Setting up your eero network with Vodafone requires a slightly different configuration due to the fact that none of their devices support either Bridge mode or Modem-only mode.
The first option is to set up your eeros in a Double NAT configuration. All you need to do is to connect the Gateway eero to your Vodafone WiFi Hub, follow the instructions from the app and complete the setup. Once ready, it is recommended to stop the Wi-Fi signal of the Vodafone box so that no interference occurs."
"The second option is to set up your eero network in Bridge mode. Follow the steps from this article to do so. In this case you would still need to turn off the Wi-FI of the Vodafone device, so follow the steps above to do so. "
This says to me that you CANNOT use eero to replace your Vodafone router.
Although, I do wonder if that article is still current; eero didn't use to support PPPOE, but now it does
"As of the release of eeroOS v6.6.1 and eero App version 6.13.0, eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6 & eero Pro 6E now support PPPoE. For more information on this feature and how to enable it, please see the following article." (https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/207852843-Does-eero-support-PPPoE-)
When you tried to set it up, did you enable PPPoE?
