Is Vodafone FTTP any good?

I can't find any recent reviews, only ones basically saying how ##~## they are.

I need interweb and Vodafone are the only ones offering symmetric speeds, I'm looking at the full fibre 500 package, I don't need pro. I don't really understand the reason for the same prices on 200 and 500, but whatever.

So, before going for it, are they reliable?

I went for the 900 which was installed at the end of September. After a few issues getting an order to go through we have had full speeds pretty much all the time. ( I think the order issues were due to us wanting to keep the old phone number. Once we accepted a new landline number everything went fine).

The connection has dropped 3 or 4 times. Things have either sorted themselves or have been fixed by City Fibre pretty quickly without having to chase them up after the initial reporting of the issue. The latest was due to an engineer cutting through a power cable during an upgrade to a cabinet. it happens.

Minor frustrations about not being on the most local gateway which would provide better pings but we still get pings of around 11 ms.

Thanks for the info. On VM I get the following, so what you are getting seems ok, How are your uploads? Same speed as down? Do you check regularly?

I work from home so check the connection every morning. Download and upload usually at 930
