I'm using the Cisco Any Connect VPN client (V4.9.06037) and when connecting my work laptop over wifi & vpn the vpn will constantly drop and takes ages to reconnect (and then drops again!) esp during teams calls. I had this behavior also on another employer's laptop (vpn over wifi). Connecting direct via Ethernet (and vpn) is fine, its just over wifi! I have VF BB Pro and you can no longer split the frequencies (5 vs 2.4 GHz) to narrow it down!

.@smlyons2000 This is a tricky one given the unhelpful router. A search on the Forum doesn't get a great deal of hope, but this one may be worth reading, https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Other-broadband-queries/Issues-Connecting-to-work-VPN/m-p/2620863
As you say that it is only over WiFi then perhaps a WiFi extender may make a difference, sounds odd but it's a different WiFi radio. Otherwise have you looked into Powerline (ethernet over the mains electricity)?
I use Powerline at home and am happy with it, and it worked over the Microssoft VPN (Direct Access) into work during lockdown.
Caveat: It does depend on the quality of the wiring in the house and other folk on this forum are not fans of Powerline.

Hi - thanks - its a strange one! I'm using a powerline adaptor for ethernet connectivity (with my work vpn) - works a treat, thanks :-). From the 2019 post, one person solved their issue by disabling IPV6 but its deffo disabled on my voda-router. Lets see if anybody else comes up with a cause/solution!
