Previously I had SuperFast2 with a Vodafone Hub (THG 2250) and it was dropouts galore for every wireless device I used regardless of distance to the router. Every couple of hours without fail and would take 5, occasionally up to 10, minutes to start working again, which made working from home extremely inconvenient. I purchased a 3rd party modem/router (TP-Link VR900/AC1900) and it immediately fixed the issue and haven't had any problems for the last 2 years.
I've recently upgraded my Vodafone broadband from SuperFast2 to Fibre2 and was sent a new Vodafone Hub (THG3000) as the sales rep told me my 3rd party router wouldn't work with the new upgrade (although he never asked what make/model it was).
I got dropouts at the start but that seems to have stabilised however, my TV will randomly dropout and will not connect until I re-enter the password. I can be watching Netflix/Youtube and then it'll just stop working mid-stream; re-enter the password and it'll immediately work again.
I'm going to try plugging in my 3rd party router again as I see no reason why it wouldn't work (assuming the login details are the same) but anyone have any idea why this is happening?

If you have recently swapped to Fibre 2, have you been put on digital voice?
Your own router will work fine, but you won't be able to use the VoIP phone without extra equipment.
