My full fibre Vodafone IP address (via City Fibre) give wrong Geolocation

Since moving to a Vodafone 500MB/s connection via City Fibre, my geolocation is reporting as Manchester when I'm actually based in Dorset. This is causing all sorts of problems including incorrect local news, adverts on smart speakers, default entries on forms etc. This is affecting most devices connected to my network and even causes split locations on my mobiles (i.e. correct when on mobile data, incorrect when on WiFi).  My IP address is clearly shown as translating to Manchester/ Blackburn and I have now given it about three months to update. Can Vodafone make changes to correct this problem?   Incidentally, I cannot find anywhere to get technical support on this.

A lot of it also depends on your gateway's location. Run a traceroute to bbc.com and paste the results here, we'll find your gateway.

I thought so. You are on the Manchester gateway. Unfortunately there's nothing you, or vodafone support can do about this. A lot of us have experienced this so called "load balancing" at one time or another, myself included.

Thanks for your help. So I assume there is nothing I can do. It's really annoying getting adverts and news content for Manchester.
