Problems getting VOIP to work

I was moved to VOIP/Digital Voice several weeks ago but it's not working for incoming calls - I have tried 3 different handsets and all have the same problem: even when plugged in to the router using the adapter (and giving a dial tone), none of them will ring when I phone my home number. I can make outgoing calls, but a phone that doesn't ring when you phone it is a waste of space.

It's not a problem with your phones, you just need to ring Vodafone as they haven't configured the VOIP profile correctly on the router. They will ask for the serial number and send a new profile to it.

I spent the best part of 2 hours trying to get Vodafone to sort this yesterday, you'd they would have considered this?!

Thank you, by the way.

I had to do this for a family member who had the same problem when Vodafone migrated their line to VOIP and it took them only 10 minutes to sort. Also make sure you plug the adapter into telephone port 1 as their are two telephone ports on the back.

Whilst I agree with @VFbroadbanduser the problem is almost certainly at Vodafone, have you tried picking up the handset when ringing it, just in case it's just a ring line problem?
