Sign Up Gift Not Received - £100 Amazon

Hello,

I signed up for Vodafone broadband in November after seeing an offer for a £100 Amazon gift card for signing up. However, I have yet to receive the gift card even though the 120-day period has passed.

I contacted Vodafone via the chat facility and was informed that I had found the offer through a third party. The operator provided me with all the contact details for Vodafone's affiliates, which I contacted with my order number and account number. Unfortunately, out of the affiliates that responded, all returned saying that they don't have my details on file.

The problem is that it's been such a long time since I joined that I can't remember which affiliate I used. I have searched through my emails but I couldn't find the original confirmation email regarding the gift from when I signed up. I am now reaching out to the Vodafone community for any help or advice on what else I can do.

Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Is there anyone else that I can contact regarding this who's not been listed?

Here are the details of the affiliates I was given by the Vodafone operator:

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Correction: the last affiliate should read runaDOTio (formerly wegift)

I had a similar problem with the recommend a friend thing they had going a while back. I think it was for Amazon vouchers. I give them my neighbours details for them to contact him. He set up a new account and was given an activation date. Equipment arrived but no activation.  He gave it a few days them got in touch with shoddyfone. They said he had cancelled the contract?? So he went through it all again. No amazon vouchers for us because I hadn't recommended him this time. Shady or what?

@peppertuna  Could there be a clue in your bank or CC statement(s)?

Hi Cynric,

Thank you for your reply.
I had a look but there wasn't anything useful as far as I can see, other than the first payment being taken in December.

If you didn't receive an email at the time, it probably didn't track correctly.

Unfortunately cash-back and voucher schemes rely on internet tracking technologies that are fallible.

When I joined (via MSE) a couple of years ago, I received an email from the promotors as soon as I went via their site:Jayach_0-1681240815912.png

And then another after I actually signed up to Vodafone:

It was about 60 days later I received :

Without actually looking at the email address you would think it was Vodafone promoting the offer, but they have nothing to do with it.

We often get posts on here saying the voucher offers are a scam, but I don't think so.

I have however, used other voucher offers (not Vodafone), but didn't get my voucher, it's all down to whether the tracking works. Some you win, some you lose, but it is disappointing when you lose.😥

It may also be possible that the promotion fails due to ad-blocker extensions installed on the browser because key cookies or script elements are inhibited.

I can provide you with some general advice on how to proceed:

  1. Double-check your emails: Review your email inbox thoroughly, including the spam or junk folders, to ensure you haven't overlooked any communication from Vodafone or their affiliates. Sometimes, confirmation emails can be misfiled or filtered incorrectly.

  2. Contact Vodafone customer support: Reach out to Vodafone customer support again and explain your situation in detail. Provide them with your order number and account details, and emphasize that you have already contacted the listed affiliates but haven't received a satisfactory response. Request their assistance in identifying the correct affiliate or finding a resolution.

  3. Escalate the issue: If you don't receive a satisfactory response from the initial customer support representative, politely ask to escalate the matter to a higher level of support or a supervisor. They may have additional resources or information that can help resolve the issue.

  4. Check Vodafone's terms and conditions: Review the terms and conditions of the offer you signed up for. Look for any specific information regarding the gift card promotion, including eligibility requirements, timeframes, and instructions for claiming the gift. This information might provide further clarity or guidance on how to proceed.

  5. Seek assistance on Vodafone community forums: Visit the Vodafone community forums or other online communities where Vodafone customers gather. Describe your situation and ask if anyone else has encountered a similar issue or has suggestions on how to resolve it. Vodafone's official representatives or knowledgeable community members might provide helpful insights or point you in the right direction.

Remember to remain patient and persistent throughout this process. While it can be frustrating, calmly expressing your concerns and providing relevant information will increase the likelihood of a positive outcome.

UPDATE

I emailed wegift again with some more details. They got in touch with Vodafone to verify the sale.

Today I finally received my voucher! Whole process took around 20 days.

Not really sure why I had to chase but there we are. We got there in the end!
