Super Booster Pairing Failed!!

Booster is next to router. Plugged in and red light goes to white and flashing.

Launched Broadband app on phone and followed the instructions. Messages on phone. 'Connecting to Super wifi  booster . . . Not long now  . .  . Almost done'. Then 'pairing failed. Hmm, somethings not working . . . Try again.' Did so. Same result.

Did a reset of the booster. Went through same procedure many many times and still can't pair!!!

Where do I go from here?

Hi @DoztheDozzer - if this isn't resolved yet then please call our WiFi Xperts on 191 free from a Vodafone mobile or 03333 040 191 from another phone. They can then check what's happening.

Thanks Gemma, I'll do that as soon as I am able.

Has this issue been resolved as I'm in the same boat as everyone else by the looks of it?

Do we all have to call tech support on this or is there a more straightforward way to resolve this issue?

Welcome to the club! There must be thousands of us across the UK trying to get the so-called super boosters to work. They are utter crap and the broadband app is just as bad. Mine just sits there going round and round in an endless loop lying about how it just about done and even when the booster changes to a solid white light without connecting the app is still spinning away!

It’s a crap system, supported by staff who have no idea  what they are talking about.  I’m going to cancel my contract as the promise of total connectivity across the house is completely hollow!

So...as I'm now one of the gang...did you get this sorted? I'm in the same situation and rapidly losing my patience over this.

So this worked for me this evening, disconnect the booster, logged on to router via a laptop and went to WIFI and WPS setting, before clicking on PAIR, turn booster back on and hit the reset button, allow booster to get to solid purple mode, then hit PAIR button on router settings then WPS button on booster, you should get a notification saying device successfully paired, but may still flash purple. So reboot, and should go white, it may then reboot itself as it should update the firmware which is what i think is causing the issues, as when you first plug the router in it updates itself and then becomes incompatible with the booster.

Thanks for posting this info. It may well help others 👍

This worked for me! Thank you I’d spent hours messing about with it.

Thank you! I spent ages trying to find the answer and this finally got it working. Much appreciated.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me initially. However, this slightly alternative method did. I did a factory reset on the Ultra Hub, waited for about 15 minutes for it to do all it's firmware updates, and then, when the solid white light was constant for a couple of minutes on the Ultra Hub, I did a factory reset on the booster, let that complete, and then started the pairing process on both devices via the WPS buttons on the rear. The Ultra Hub went green to say pairing complete almost instantly but the booster carried on flashing purple for another minute before turning white. Seemed like a firmware out-of-sync issue which is odd given that they were both brand new out of the box. But thanks for your initial suggestion - got there in the end!
