I just had an email from Vodafone asking me to upgrade and it stated that The Vodafone Broadband app lets you control and customise your WiFi

Technically speaking I do not see how the hardware can find the best signal.
Like many houses all the ones in my road, with one exception, are the same architecture and internal layout. They will all have the living room on the same side of the house and that's where the comms line enters from the street regardless of provider. So if you, or a neighbour, decide to use a spare bedroom as your WFH office it will be as close, if not nearer to your neighbours router (let's not talk about extenders etc just yet) and therefore the strongest signal in the office is not your one. Back at your router it is nearer to the neighbour on the other side and will detect that as the next strongest signal, you can see where I am going with this. Now let's add extenders and boosters into the mix and where does the THG3000 go with that when it comes to selecting the best channel. This is why I select the high-band 5GHz channels (so few people change the settings outside of the lower range) and do my best efforts on 2.4GHz. This is also why I don't use the THG3000 to provide Wi-Fi.
