Third party modem & router set up

I am getting erratic WiFi behaviour from my Vodaphone router.  To check it I am trying to set up an old Zyxel Prestige P660-6xC modem with an Asus RT-AC68U router.  Do I set up the modem in Bridge mode (& PPPoA) or routing mode (& PPoE)?

Do I set VC or LLC for the multiplex and what VPI & VCI settings are used?

Any help much appreciated

Put the modem in bridge mode then enter your PPPoE details into the WAN settings on the asus router. VLAN ID (802.1q) should be 101. You shouldn't need to change anything else from the default.

Unless you are one of the unlucky few the Zyxel Prestige P660-6xC modem is not going to work for you!  It's an ADSL modem, and if you are on FTTC you'd need a VDSL2 modem!
