Hi, 1st off the essentials package is for ppl who are on certain benefits.

The router you will receive will be the thg3000, as I've just received this model today.

@Debsy999 In the page https://www.vodafone.co.uk/broadband/essentials-broadband the picture appears to be the THG3000 router.

Thank you so much for your reply, I did see that image, but I read somewhere else on the internet that Vodafone use the SuperHub now. I wanted to check with anyone who had a recent install or if a mod was able to answer.

I do have coverage problems within my home and didn’t know how old the tech was on the  THG3000.

Really appreciate your help

@Debsy999 The "super" toys are for fibre to the home (FTTP) at speeds up to 900Gbps, The Essentials is a package currently using wires to the home (FTTC) at speeds up to 77Mbps depending how far you are from the green cabinet in the street. My best speed on FTTC is about 62Mbps.

Apologies, I didn’t mean to say SuperHub, it stated something called PowerHub

Sorry, medication causes my severe confusion, apologies

Essentials will use FTTC or FTTP, depending on what is available at the location, same as all the packages.

@Jayach It's all confusing, this page (below) shows only the FTTC up to 73Mbps.

No if you scroll down it says " If available at your address, enjoy full fibre broadband", which is what my picture will show, once it's been moderated.

@Debsy999  This BT site https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL will give you an approx speed. Use your landline number and in the results screen it is the second line - VDSL Range B (Impacted) - you should look at.

It says checker unavailable at the moment.

will try again later
