Wifi extender and dongle issue

Just had fibre installed and my official Vodafone wifi extender and dongle are no longer working/connecting with the router. The Vodafone broadband app has also removed the wifi extender button. Anyone had this issue and found a fix? I've tried re installing the app and hard resetting the extender with no joy.

It would appear that customer services have to "push" an update to the router in order to enable the devices.  So go to the loo, then make yourself a drink and some sandwiches in preparation for a long wait in a queue to speak to customer services - or use the online chat facility.
