I don't know if it's the case with the VF modem/router or not, but there's quite a few modems out there that will indicate "interleaved" when there is any kind of signal intervention needed.  So you may see "interleaved" when there is actually no interleaving but G.INP.  In any case, generally, you don't see this if it's not needed, and the automatic reset - if it's no longer needed - is just 10 -14 days.

10-14 days is long considering im currently on my 14 day cooling period as i think i want to move to another provider that can turn off interleave and select profiles on my line etc as that is what im really needing

Also, 140 CRC errors over a period of a few hours is not excessive, 140 per second would be, but even 140 per minute wouldn't be IMHO.  The algorithm used by the OpenReach Cabinets has been tweaked over many years to give the highest possible speeds with an "acceptable" number of errors, resulting in the highest overall throughput!

If your line has a problem DLM will just keep kicking in. Also an increasing number of ISPs are implementing their own "load balancing" so you won't get away from that. Also, even if you move to another provider on fttc you'll still be on the same copper, so you'll still likely see the same issues.

@VPMagpie just a thought. Is fttp not available to you? That would likely be your best option right now (in a common sense way).

Your problem is not CRC errors, or anything DLM may be doing to your line. Your issue is latency, which itself will likely be a result of your routing - which vodafone can't change.

Indulge us. Go into your router's status pages and paste your gateway IP here (don't worry, it's no security issue). We will then locate your gateway and tell you where it is. Then it'll be up to you whether it's a huge distance or not.

For example, I'm 10 miles from Leeds yet I'm routed via the Edinburgh gateway when there's one in Leeds.

ooo thats something ive not heard of before , i take it my gateway ip is where vodaphone has routed my service to and could possibly get it changed for better experiance ? currently out of the house right now but when i get back ill reply with the gateway IP

Yes to what the gateway address is, but no to getting it changed, or at least nobody here has previously managed to get it changed. But it may well change should Vodafone make network changes.

got the gate way ip for you , from what i gathered the gateway ip is in cambridge but maybe you get the same or something different . Let me know :

Finally, to answer the gateway question, 84.65.0.1 is in the database as Bristol (Portishead). Unfortunately it's not registered on the ARIN database to confirm that (wasn't part of the C&W network when vodafone grabbed it).
