i have checked with the vodafone router and it is getting a ipv6 address but when i connect via the tp link with the wan connected to the ont so what setting i try to use i git no joy?

@LeonsDev Which router do you have? The VF one should work for IP6 as it's just a toggle on/off in the settings. Can you check the router logs for errors?

Did those default (dhcp) settings I posted in the other thread not work then? Have you had IPv6 working on the vodafone router as I asked? The vodafone router needs to be connected for IPv6 to be provisioned - after that you can use any router you want.

The Vodafone router works fine. I have 10/10 in ipv6 test.  But I can't get ipv6 working with my deco xe75 on pppoe. I don't want the Vodafone router as port of my network, since I would have to put my decos in AP mode.

Ipv4 works fine on my deco but ipv6 has never worked. No matter the setting.

There must be some weird magical setting on your deco. With my asus all I had to do is set IPv6 to "Native" and we were away.

Hi all I found settings that work!!! hours of debugging and an outage at 11am made me insane but have 17/20 in ipv6-test and 10/10 on test-ipv6. if anyone has any pointers to get ICMP unfiltered that would be great as its unfiltered on the vodafone router. hopefully these settings help someone. I used cloudflare dns but auto works too.

You don't need to worry about icmp. I think it's better for your home network to be un-pingable (is that a word?).

@Ripshod  I can't remember if the VF router has a setting to allow ICMP on the LAN but not on the WAN. Sometimes it is useful on the LAN side of things, but yes turn if off on the WAN (or everywhere if there's no split).

Just a quick update, SLAAC+RDNSS should be used for home use primarily because android does not support DHCPv6.

Android doesn't support it? I'm sure my phone (cheap Chinese) gets an Ipv6, I'll have to check when I get home. I was wondering why my tablet (lenovo) doesn't get one though so maybe it's a case of some can some can't.

I definitely have stateless disabled on my router.

I'm mistaken. Statefull is enabled on the router, so why is the tablet the only device that doesn't pull an Ipv6 from the router?

I've got some research to do.
