Answerfone message not stating phone number

Hi. My elderly sister has a PAYG sim and has just changed her phone from an old Alcatel flip phone to an Artfone big number flip phone. When anyone calls and the phone isn't answered the answerphone message cuts in as it should and says "You have reached the voicemail for" and then there is a long gap where you would normally hear the phone number. It then goes on to say "please leave your message after the tone" and any message left is recorded and can be listened to but she's worried that people may ring off during the long pause.  I've looked through all the settings on the phone and can't find anything which needs to be changed so just wondering if there is something needing to be done by Vodafone. It worked fine in the last phone and now it's just the same sim but in a new phone.

That's strange @C-J-W , if the SIM is getting quite old it can do some strange things, your Sister could always try a replacement SIM and see if it makes a difference here: SIM swap

Your Sister can only divert to voicemail, she can try cancelling all diverts here: Cancel diverts reboot the phone and turn voicemail back on by dialing 1211.  There would also be some divert settings on the new phone.  FUrther information for your Sister's phone here: Device Guides

If your Sister has not recorded a personal greeting well worth doing, this gives reassurance to callers they have reached the correct number, if she calls 121 and follows the prompts, she can easily set this up.
