I received my usual txt telling me that my Big Value Bundle would run out in 3 days. That was on Monday 25/01/2021. I topped up £20 on Tuesday 26/01/2021 so that they could renew my £20 big value bundle. Today they didn’t renew it. They said that I only had £19 and £1 was used for 50Mb etc. I then had to pay another £15 for a bundle. This was all I could now afford. They have messed up and are refusing to refund my £20. I had this problem last year with my PAYG Data only SIM. I changed networks. I regard this as either fraud or theft. I now want to take Vodafone to court . At least it will make them think twice about screwing someone else.

Sounds like the charge kicked in for mobile data usage taking the £1 from your topped up credit.
Did you perhaps run out of mobile data allowance and kept mobile data turned On instead of using a Wi-Fi.
Have a word with the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries if customer services via Live Chat or 191 won't assist.

Can a vodafone staff investigate this and report why this unexplained problem of charging £1 without a good reason is still ongoing. This is the 3rd thread regarding the issue that i can only put down to a technical error. Feel bad for the people who topup a lot only to find credit continue to go missing. Im not seeking an apology. Just sort it, do the decent thing and offer a refund.
