When I bought my new phone in Croydons Vodaphone shop, I specifically stated I wanted the same basic PAYG as on the phone I was replacing, namely, I do not have to pay a monthly subscription as it is for a rarely used emergency phone use. I find however, that I am on a bundle which will not allow me to access the £10 credit I bought without buying another £10 each month. Does anybody know how I can change to a simple PAYG that my credit will remain on my phone unless I use it?
Thanks you.

Yes @PeterCharlton , the trick is to opt out before adding the credit, otherwise any credit will automatically be converted into a BVB. To remove the bundle and opt out of a BVB, follow this link: How do I remove my Big Value Bundle? You can also dial 2345 to opt out.
Any problems, live chat or 191 Customer Services will be able to change the tariff to PAYG 1.

Thanks AnnS, In the end I went into the Vodaphone shop where the chap told me to simply buy a Vodaphone topup at a corner shop which seems to have hopefully done the trick.Cheers.

Yes @PeterCharlton , the added credit will show on your account.
At the moment you are using the BVB. Unless you have opted out of a BVB, Vodafone will take that credit towards the next months bundle.
