PAYG in New Zealand

So i bought a PAYG SIM in Sainsburys last week to take with me to NZ whilst on holiday. I did not use it before leaving the UK. I topped it up in New Zealand. I can make calls on it but i am unable to receive texts. I have tried to create an account with the app but it is sending me texts which i dont receive.

Data roaming is on (iPhone) and all the settings seem good, any ideas?

Is it imessages or normal texts your having issues with @borax  ?

If calls and data are working then the sim sounds activated to me.

Perhaps until your return use WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger to text in the interim.

thanks for the replies. I have made a call to the UK, no problem. However if someone tries to call the number it doesn't go through and i cannot send/receive text messages at all

Perhaps see if Vodafone Live Chat can access your payg account to help.

As I say maybe WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger is going to be your interim workaround @borax
