Pay as you go on iPhone se

Hi there!

I've got a Pay As You Go plan on a rubbish phone! I've just got hold of an iPhone SE (2020 model) which I believe can be used on PAYG and would like to do so if possible. How do I go about transferring the phone number to the new iPhone? The Sim in my current phone is definitely not a nano sim. Is it just a case of requesting a new (nano) sim from Vodafone for my current phone number?

The phone itself isn't tied to a network — I purchased it direct from Apple.

Any guidance would be gratefully received.

You need to do a SIM swap here: Swap your SIM 

When you receive the SIM Vodafone will have sent a multi SIM see here: How do I use My muti SIM? 

Inserting the SIM in the phone will prompt you to download the correct APN settings to the phone or text WEB to 40127, this will configure the APN settings and update the SIM on the network.

As this is an iphone, you would also be prompted by Apple to set up your icloud account and Apple ID.
