Hi All,
I'm just sounding my thought process out on this forum to see if anyone has done what I'm thinking of doing.
So my parents each have an iPad with a sim slot. I cancelled the data sims long ago as they 99,9% of the time use them on wifi at home.
They're travelling to South Africa in February.
I've got them Vodacom SIM cards to use whilst there in their phones (as £6 per day with VF will add up pretty quick) but was thinking about their iPads..
Rather than get a PAYT data only sim, would there be a barrier to putting in a PAYT phone sim instead and using the data on that.
Reason for this is that PAYT data only wants to charge £25.00 for 100MB of data in South Africa whereas the phone version of the sim will offer 4GB for 15 days for £25.

Hi @donnyguy
I hope you are well.
Vodafone don't know what the data is being used for and don't know what the sim is being used in.
As long as the data allowance is paid for their all good.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎
