Why am I charged £1 frequently for calls/text I haven't made (Pay as you go)

At least once a week I get a message: Just to let you know that you have got now unlimited minutes etc. to enjoy the rest of the day and £ 1 is deducted when I have not used phone or text. Very grateful for answers.

The issue with PAYG 1 is you will be charged for any outgoing connection to the network @MonikaKatharin , this includes connection to the Internet.  

Make sure you have turned off mobile data and only use  a WiFi connection or this will be classed as outgoing.

This can be turned off by pulling down the menu at the top of the screen or from your connection settings @MonikaKatharin .  Depending on the phone you have please see device guides here Device Guides 

If the phone can't connect to the internet, you shouldn't have any further problems but if you lose any more credit come back to the thread and this can be investigated.
