Wi fi calling

Hi all new here. I’ve activated wi fi calling both on the dashboard and settings (obviously) in my iPhone 12 but to no avail. I’ve spoken to customer service who to be fair were very helpful and have confirmed it’s been activated on my account. That’s born out by a message on dashboard saying the service has been activated from today,11/07/2023. I’ve also reset my network settings in my phone ( pain) and the self same handset supported wi fi calling a day previous with my former provider.

It’s not the end of the world but my question is do I have to wait 24 hrs or so before the service works??

Thanks all

Vodafone have a dedicated page on the website for WiFi calling where they mention WiFi calling will work regardless on all iphones here: WiFi calling

I suspect the problem here will be due to your number just ported over and the service should kick in by tomorrow morning.

There is further information available from Vodafone with some troubleshooting for WiFi calling here: Device Guides

Hopefully, this will be working tomorrow but any problems come back to the thread and this will be picked p by the Social Team.

Thank you. As regards the porting I agree and hope it’ll be working within 24 hours.
Happy to wait.

Just wanted to post about my experience of customer service today in relation to Wi-Fi calling. To cut a very long story short my number was ported in two days ago and I’m using an iPhone 12 which is unlocked. The Vodafone website states that any iPhone will work and indeed I was using this very handset to access Wi-Fi calling with my previous network provider.Although it’s provisioned on my account and despite various calls made by me it’s still not working. I’ve been advised to reset my network settings and do a factory reset on my phone, both of which I did to no avail. I’ve been advised I must put some cash credit on my account not just the bundle already on there, that’s has turned out to be false advice🤷‍♂️Then the issue was put down to a provisioning error and I was advised that my number would have to be disconnected and reconnected,a process that could take up to 24 hours. Then it was decided that some software could be sent over the air for me to install (which I’ve done) and there’s some talk that if I switch my phone on and off in 24 hours it might work. Oh and I’ve also texted CALLING to whatever number it is so I’ve been around the houses. I would add that everyone I’ve spoken to has been utterly polite and charming and Wi-Fi calling isn’t a life threatening ailment; but I left Three UK because of their utterly deplorable level of customer service and I really hope that this isn’t a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire. 🤞

Thank you I’ll do as you suggest. 👍

I need to thank some people for getting my wi if calling issues sorted. Firstly Jane on the social media team 👏👏for immediately diagnosing  that there was a bar on my account preventing me using the service. She removed it and it all works with no issues. Also many thanks to AnnS👏👏 on the forum for steering me in the right direction.  It’s much appreciated . ❤️
