Hi, I have a couple of queries on the above
I am aware that prices will increase by the cpi rate published in January 22 (5.4%) plus additional 3.9% based on my current price of £26pcm an increase of 9.3% would come to an extra £2.40pm if my maths are correct
I have gotten the above information from the Vodafone website and have yet received any official confirmation of any price increase and the website doesn’t make clear whether I will or not.
so my two questions are
1. are Vodafone regulatory required to send out personal letters/emails outlining the changes and the exact price per month bills will increase by, if so when will these start to be sent out
2. are changes pro rata so for example my billing period is 15th through to 14th, would I therefore see a change in March bill or would I see it as whole from my April bill onwards
TIA

Thanks for confirming that for us @BSF74 As @MarkD said we aren't currently aware of any issues with tagging on the Community but it is something we will of course look into for you. Just to confirm, if you just type the @ symbol do all of the people in the thread, such as Mark and myself, show in the list?
@simax I'm glad you have now received your notification! We send these out in batches everyday around the time of the price rise and we always aim to get your notification to you before the first bill with the increased line rental is produced.

Hi Steph, typing @ gives me no list of thread users
I think I’ve worked out by doing a search on the community that only moderators and community champions can only tag as per this Here (if this is correct it’s a pretty poor decision to only allow this)

Thank you for confirming that for me @BSF74
As that post is from several years ago, I'm going to request confirmation from the team as to whether this is still the case 🙂 We want to make sure that all of our information is fully up to date. As soon as I have an answer for you, I'll let you know!

Personally I think these sort of price increases are always unacceptable and particularly anti competitive when you aren't free to move providers when they do so, I would like to see the government outlaw the ability for communications come in contract price rises without the option to leave.
I find it even more laughable when on top of the CPI increase they charge you for doing something that benefits them by upgrading and expanding their network, something which is a natural requirement of their business.

OFCOM didn't see a problem with how Vodafone and EE came up with the exact same figure of CPI+3.9% within days of each other. Despite completely separate networks, they both independently worked out they needed this exact figure to keep up with investment. 🤔 They won't do anything about it and have said as much.
With the rise being written into your contract, Vodafone probably don't have to legally give you 30 days notice, as they have already told you, it's not new, it would however just be a decent thing to do.

As @Getafix has advised, only CC's and Vodafone Moderators/Admin can tag other users in posts

The is part of the Contract you are signing up to.
Best option is to make sure your Contract expires between April and June, so you could sign for a new Contract, which is probably same or less than what you signed up two years ago.
Interestingly, only affects People in Contract, the actual Tariffs don't really go up, and to make it worse extra Data gets added to your previous Tariff.
Other option is to change your Tariff to next higher one (probably £2-3 extra) at end of March, early April and will not be increased until next year.
