Upgrade to new Pay Monthly contract on a single plan for device & airtime

Folks,

I'm a Vodafone Pay Monthly customer who will soon be eligible for an upgrade. I'm thinking of taking on one of the new iPhone 14s on an unlimited max plan. However, for various reasons, I don't want to have the separate device and airtime plans. I just need a good, old fashioned, single plan where the handset and airtime are bundled into a single monthly figure that is taken out via a single direct debit from my bank account.

How can I go about getting one of these please? Either from Vodafone direct or through one of their reseller partners?

Thanks in advance for your help & guidance!

When you upgrade direct with Vodafone it will be with an Evo contract.  The workaround is go third party or purchase the phone outright and go SIM only.

When you upgrade with Vodafone @svajpayee , this will be on an Evo contract.

As you have mentioned take a look at third party sellers, but don't go for an upgrade, to save you a lot of money take a new contract and transfer your number to the third party contract.  The easiest way to achieve this is to port the number you wish to keep to any other network on PAYG and port back in on the new third party deal.  If you use the forum search facility there are some previous threads with examples.

The benefit of an Evo contract is you only pay the April CPI increase on the line rental, if you have an inclusive contract you will be paying the increase on the entire amount.

Apple offer there own credit to purchase a device, worth a look and as far as is known it is interest free and then go for a SIM only contract.

Thanks @AnnS for responding promptly. I appreciate your advise regarding how to do the upgrade and benefit of Evo contract with reference to annual rental increases. However, I prefer the standard Pay Monthly contracts where the device & airtime charges are bundled into one.

Are you saying there is no way to go to a "standard" contract with Vodafone and they'll move me to an "Evo" contract and I have no choice in this matter?
