Hello,
My mobile has always been linked to my Mum's account, and now that I'm able to pay my own contract- I am wondering if it is possible to remove my number and start my own account up, or do I need to start right from the beginning. I'm due to an upgrade so I am just curious as to whether this affects what I do next.
Any help appreciated.

It sounds like you need to do a Transfer of Ownership from your Mum's name to your name. There is a form to complete and submit on the website. This will be subject to meeting Vodafone's credit check criteria and when completed the contract will be in your name with the same number.
The other alternative is to split the account, this will give you control over the contract and paying the bill but with your Mum still responsible for the contract and making sure payments are kept up to date.
