I tried to send a text message to Times Radio on 87222. Worked on Giff Gaff before changing to Voda.
Some network packages charge extra, (usually about 25pence), some are included, but with the Vodafone Basics plan it just said “Not delivered”.
I don’t have any manual restrictions or got any restrictions messages, it just didn’t go.
Q. Am I supposed to be able to send texts to those low level premium numbers? (
Solved! Go to best answer.

We can't comment on how your device performs on different networks @TV175
The description of the bar is the same regardless of what plan you have, there aren't custom descriptions for different plans. You can still attempt to remove the bar as that is a generic app feature but you still won't be able to use the premium services.

Well I have said it before and I will say it agsin, I don’t expect a premium brand like Voda to offer less than GiffGaff or Lebara for similar money, both of which allow premium services for additional charge (and 5G for free and now eSIM).

We offer a wide range of plans @TV175 to cater to a wide range of customers. The Basics Plans are there to support our customer base that just want a simple, fuss free service where they don't have a need or a want to make out of bundle calls and texts or any other service that could cost them more than their standard monthly amount. For customers that do want to use these services, they are available on all of our other SIM Only packages.

Would it be possible to have the correct solution on this thread?

Could someone explain this then!?
Also this is crazy, on Lebara my phone switched between 5G and 4G whilst travelling, on Vodafone it switches between 4G and 3G.

OK thanks.
@Getafix having tried, it seems I cannot upgrade to a better plan until August unless I add an additional plan,

You can change your Tariff as long as you are going to pay more.
The only issue you might have is you have to sign up to new Contract unless there is a 12 month SIM Only Plan, as you Basic Plan is 12 months.
You might have to call to do this.
