Brand New Mobile Customer - Feedback

As a brand new customer to Vodafone who has just joined on a 24 month Samsung Fold 3 & Smart watch mobile tariff, can I make a suggestion? Please dont send that email to "activate" your online account after placing an order.  I can only assume its generic & sent out automatically but I have spent the last half hour trying to activate it with the password that was provided only to be provided with "Internal Error" message. Live chat would work for some reason. Even if you were to re-word the email to explain wait for your order to arrive before activating.

Good job I was aware Vodafone have a community forum as I now aware you need to wait for account activation.

But I also found a link on how to check tracking on my order on here too.  Why dont you email that link to new customers?? Instead of a vague "DPD will be in touch" regarding your delivery.?  A little confusing & frustrating, not the end of the world but i wonder how many other new customers did exactly the same as me?

Tbh I use Three for my main number & been with them for over 10 years. Buying a handset is just so much easier compared to what I experienced with Voda - your account is instantly setup and you can check tracking (and other essentials) from within your account. Virtually all companies do this? Vodafone's approach seems very odd, but its been many years since I was last with Voda so i guess much has changed.  Don't get me wrong Three's customer service isn't perfect by any means (same with all UK networks tbh) but what they do get right is the buying experience - particularly for new customers who aren't familiar with the whole buying process.

That aside, looking forward to delivery of my sons mobile package & glad to be part of the Vodafone community forum, just a pity my first post was not a positive one! Sorry about that   😉
