I had a contract with Vodafone over 3 years ago. I was told that to end my contract a fee of £190 was to be paid due the outstanding balance. This was reiterated several times before paying the balance to confirm process. As much as I was aware this was terminated. I had no further acknowledgement. No letters or contact. I have since checked my credit report in which shows that a default has been placed due to an outstanding fee of £250? However I have never been notified of this and as far as I was concerned my account was closed once I paid the outstanding balance. This has now effected my credit. I have contacted Vodafone to try and resolve this issue to be told they cannot find any account information linked to my name or the number in which I had an account with. I really could do with this resolving and removing from my account to level my credit score

@Bdurand I'm sorry to hear you've got a default on your credit report, I certainly understand how unsatisfying and concerning this must be for you. It's a shame you've been unable to get this resolved or investigated by the team you spoke with. So one of our Credit Specialists are able to take a closer look into this to see what's happened, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch with us.

I also have a default status on my credit file because of an account with Vodafone. I received an email in Feb 2018 with an outstanding balance but I rung Vodafone who confirmed the account had already closed and final payments been settled. So I'm now shocked to see a default status. Please can someone private message me to help me resolve this

Hello. I have a default on my credit file relating to an account I had with Vodafone that I paid off in March 2015. This is worrying , please can someone private message me to help resolve this. I have previously spoken to Vodafone but the person could not be of any help.

reading other posts it appears to be a common theme. I have been declined a mortgage application due to an issue on my credit report. Shocked, i found out how to get my credit report and there were 4 missed payments marked by vodafone back in 2017. This was a mistake by vodafone about my contract end date (an upgrade which i didn't take) and I was informed this had been resolved at the time. I spent another morning trying to speak to someone at vodafone about this issue, eventually being informed again that i am completely correct and my credit report will be corrected in 3-5 days. Guess what? still not resolved. This has potentiallly cost me thousands of pounds in missing out on a property, let alone the 3 days in i estimate from adding up durations of transcripts. This isn't adding in the phone calls and letters i've written. Letter to customer relations manager still unanswered after 2 weeks. How can customer service be this bad?
