Contract About To Expire

MillerJones

I am asking on behalf of a friend.

Currently they have sim only which expires Jan 10 2023 and they have just requested PAC which was a lot of effort Voda staff did not want to give it with them wasting over an hour on chat before it was issued.

Her current deal was very good and they cant get close to matching it due to she used to have family member who applied staff discount, (family member no longer works for the company)

They have been told if use it a £25 charge will apply on top of remaining bill even after my friend stated they would use it after Dec 10 so how is that classed as early cancelling it's 30 days notice right or os this incorrect?

Voda staff on the chat are useless why bother to even have it if they dont answer the questions or do as asked all they do is give you run around and keep trying to give deals which are not even improvements.

Your friend should have requested a PAC by text @MillerJones , this information is available by following the information on this link: Cancel Account if out of contract, no need for 30 days notice using a PAC.

As you have correctly stated, a PAC is valid for 30 days, if it is used now, there will still be some time remaining on the contract and this will mean an extra charge.  Vodafone charge in advance, your friend will have already paid for the final month, that leaves some extra days to be paid.

If your friend has any questions she will need to raise this with Customer Service, she can also send the Social Team a message by following this link : Contact Us

They had tried to request it via text but it was asking for account pin which they dont use one only finger print access which is why had to go chat route. (tried through voda app which staff clueless in chat kept diverting and chat would cut off so was done via social media who kept trying to discredit other networks and not give the code but flash up claimed new deals which was nothing like current one)

So Voda should not be giving out threats about extra charges and early termination if PAC is used after say Dec 12 which was explained to the agent who still kept putting up threats about charges even after it was explained but contract ends Jan 10 so if pack code is used 12 Dec or after before expires 25 Dec no fees.

Voda customer services are a waste of time I can see why so many complain and if you run into real issues wouldnt trust these people at all to solve it.
