Can anyone help.
I had a debt collection agency called CCS collect confirm that I had made a settlement on my Vodafone account and that I would not be chased for the remaining balance and that it would be written off. One year later I checked my credit file to find that the balance had been passed back to Vodafone and was still showing as a default on my credit file. With Vodafone expecting payment.
Despite several calls with Vodafone and CCS no one has been able to help and had passed me from pillar to post.
Can anyone suggest what I do next?

Can I ask if they supplied some written form of agreement that they wouldn't chase you further ?
Only having that to support you will help.
If not then Vodafone would expect the rest to be paid unfortunately.
What have Vodafone and the collection company advised ?

Yes they did, I have a letter but after speaking to numerous Vodafone employees on the phone none of them will give me an email address to send the letter to?
Any help must appreciated!

It could be beneficial to alao speak with the debt collectors to see if they can help as they may not have effectively communicated the agreement with Vodafone UK.
Vodafone do have a process Here Which includes an email address and postal address too.
And we do have a Vodafone Social Media Teams here who read all posts and help where they can when they've caught up.
You could also consider putting a Notice of Correction on your Credit File.
See the info in Default-on-your-Credit-File-And-How-to-add-a-Notice-of-Correction.

Hi having a similar issues here. Account was sent to ccs collect then vodafone wavered all charges etf and oustanding. Ccs contacted them to confirm this and sent me a letter saying your account has been closed contact vodafone. However vodafone are saying its still with them call them etc but they are saying its not with them. Vodafone also registred a default in error as they then admitted fault and removed all charges. this also needs removing my my credit history

As things have now changed in regards to the forum team here not being able to access accounts to help via the forum you'll need to speak with Vodafone Support and or to the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Vodafone Facebook / Vodafone Twitter.
My apologies at having to send you elsewhere to engage with Vodafone UK as I appreciate you came here , signed up and created a post to reach out for help but the Team here can no longer help with Account based issues.
But it's the same Social Media Teams here that help and assist via Facebook and Twitter.
Things have changed as they have decided that help and assistance with account based issues would be best supported that way.
I appreciate not everyone wants to use Social Media however it takes but a few moments to create a Twitter or Facebook account and then can be forgotten if necessary. Just a thought.

So a member of our team are able to take a closer look into this for you, please contact our team via Facebook at Vodafone UK, or get in touch on Twitter using the handle @VodafoneUK. Hi I switched my account from Vodafone to 02 with carephone warehouse. I was told my account was closed, but Vodafone continued to charge me. I was unaware of this and this was sent to a debt collection company who then contacted me. I paid the payment as I didn’t want this to have a negative mark on credit score- but it’s left a late payment mark. I no longer have an account with Vodafone so can’t contact anyone on the phone as it doesn’t process. I am not in any debt to Vodafone but want them to remove this as it has nothing to do with me.

Hey - Vodafone are obligated to notify you of your final bill and take payment. It's also usual for companies to attempt contact before sending to debt collectors.
So whilst you have no dispute on the amount, you need to raise with them that they clearly didn't notify you of a bill so if the debt collectors can contact you, Vodafone certain could have.
So get them to investigate and I'm sure they'll work with you on the solution.
