Hi
Can anyone direct me to the right place to call or email (urgently!!) Vodafone to get a default removed from my Credit report as I am trying to apply for a mortgage and it needs to be removed to avoid being declined.
The default is from 04/01/2012 and it stats updated on 10/03/2013 on my file for £434 which was paid off!! Why does it still say defaulted if it was paid off...???
Help!
I can see that this has happened to tonnes of people with Vodafone..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Steven P

Hi,
A default will remain on a Credit File for 6 years if warranted.
Showung as Outstanding then would change to Settled once paid.
It wouldn't be removed from the Credit File as Vodafone have a Duty to report a Default.
A help post I put together.....
Default-on-your-Credit-File-and How-to-add-a-Notice-of-Correction.
Current Phone >
Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Make a formal complaint on their website with all of the details. I had exactly the same issue and this was the only way anybody ever responded!
i did resolve it in the end so there is hope! Make this the first thing you do and go from there
