It happens to me whistle on 3 contract. They took £120 months in 3 months as I was on holiday for 2 months and sim card has taken out as I was using local SIM card.
when I come back and enquire about the bills they said it's premium txt which is making your bills high and they are from foot box.tv and never watch football in my life.
so called three and this scam company as I have never click a link something like that unless my kids playing with my phone have done it.
went mad on three for allowing them to bill me like stupid without my concern and they eventually credit my account with £120 and this scam company offered me 4weeks refund of £16.00. So I want to make aware to everyone if you get txt with a link from premium number(mostly 5digits) and it says footbox.tv then you need to act otherwise they will start billing you like mad and take your money for nothing.
so first thing to do is contact your service provider they are the people who is allowing this scam to happen.
and alway set a limit on your account if you are a little user and pay less bills. They alway say it's third party service and we have to honour the pay on our behalf but this ##~## as they know it's premium number and they get their share out of it if you are using premium numbers. They are to be liable as they are not securing you account from this scammers and allowing this to happen doing nothing about.

To be fair to them, after a bit of back and forth emails, was finally sent the full £32 that had been taken from me.
Their main defence is the weekly text message they send to you, I pointed out their use of title case and formatting obfuscated the message making the meaning unclear to the busy reader.
Would anyone be interested in signing a letter if I wrote to the regulator on this kind of billing system? It seems ridiculous to me that two inadvertent taps of your mobile screen can see you billed like this.

I have been on chat with Vodafone over 3hrs an still not been refunded all extra charges, which I was promised on the 10th of January 2020.
