I took out a phone contract through mobiles.co.uk which came with a 24m Vodafone contract and Samsung mobile, I sent the phone back to mobiles.co.uk within the 14 days cooling off which cancelled the contract. I received a letter from Vodafone saying i owed £26, I spoke to Vodafone costumer services on 24th of September informing them i cancelled contract which was confirmed by the agent saying my account was closed and i owed nothing and to disregard the letter, now today my credit file has had a missed default payment from Vodafone. I need this sorted out and the default removed from my file can a moderator please contact me to sort this out.

The best thing to do here is to speak to the Social Team through Twitter or Facebook social channels by following this link Contact Us @Trevor1978 They will be able to put you in contact with the Credit Team who will be in a good position to help and clarify this for you.
If you returned the phone within the 14 day there would still be pro rata charges for the time you had the phone and you certainly should not have been advised to disregard the letter.

Thanks will try contacting them on twitter to, was hoping for moderator to message me and give me direct contact with the credit team. The contract was £26 a month so them saying i owed them £26 would not make sense regarding pro rata the sim was never put in a phone in fact it was never opened, all was sent back the day after receiving it as phone was not suitable.

That doesn't sound right @Trevor1978 , there shouldn't have been any charges.
I wonder if mobiles made some mistake here when making the cancellation with Vodafone.

Not sure they did as i received email from mobiles.co.uk advising they have received phone back and they will contact Vodafone to cancel contract, when i spoke with Vodafone customer services they confirmed contract had be cancelled and i owed nothing. All very confusing
