Hi, I recently looked at my credit score from Check My File and noticed that a very old account is still live with you guys even though it's been closed for years. Could you please give me instructions on how I can get this sorted? I don't know why it's still being linked to a credit referencing agency (TransUnion). Thanks.
Chris

Hi @chmes19
These may help experian.com/when-are-closed-accounts-deleted and experian.com/closed-accounts-will-remain-in-credit-history-for-10-years.
The Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries would be able to advise further as they have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team.

Hey,
This seems to crop up on the forum now and again and it is a strange one. Only Vodafone know the real reason behind why this happens.
But I would assume that the account you're seeing on your credit score is ticking over and being marked as paid each month so not having a negative impact.
A friend of mine contacted them this month to highlight the same situation after spotting it on her ClearScore.
They fixed it and updated to show the account fully closed as of 2018.
So it's easily fixed, just reach out to customer care via social media.
