Hi, I've ordered a Samsung S22 Ultra 512gb, and the order was supposedly dispatched - when I click the link it gives me an estimated delivery date of Mar 02 2022. It is now March 11, 2022.
I've ordered the phone to be collected at the London Angel store, and have now physically gone to the store five times and still no phone. Can anyone advise, what is realistically the amount of time one should wait?
1. First Vodafone trip on a Monday lunch break, boom boom, deposit paid, was told it might even arrive by next day!
2. Later that afternoon I received a text that my order had been cancelled, so I popped back to the store (as they have no phone number) before they closed. Now told it would arrive for Wednesday March 02. I receive a text message accordingly, and am notified the next day that my order was dispatched.
3. Friday 04, considering the notification says dispatched, and for two days prior, and I can't contact them, I go to the store. No phone, but they confidently say I'll likely receive a message to collect within an hour, if not, they confidently tell me it will be there for the following day and I should come back next day.
4. Saturday 05, I call customer service to save me the trip. After an hour on the phone I'm told the phone should definitely be at the store. I go, I queue for over an hour. The store is full of screaming children and new staff that cannot complete a single task wthout asking the manager. I finally see the manager who pretends to check in the back, pretends again, and on the third time comes out with two samsung devices, but after a bit of faffage determines neither of them is mine and I'm told it should be in for monday. The confidence is amazing and so is the lack of information.
5. Wednesday 09. I call customer service again, just to get an idea, and to avoid yet another wasted trip. Within the 45 minute timeframe they supposedly 'talked to the warehouse,' and 'the order definitely left the facilities,' and 'very likely at the store.' The agent urged me to go to the store a 5th time. So I did, and the manager once again did a supposed quick check but am told I should receive it soon and has another attempt at telling me 'should be one or two days.'
All I want to know is where this phone is, and how long I should expect to wait, as I'm currently with another provider at the end of a contract with a PAC ready to switch providers. Is this normal?

Hi @fdmccloskey
If you check the website here: S22 Ultra 512 GB you will see delivery is 4- 5 weeks after the order has been placed.
I suspect the reason for this is due to the phone being out of stock and on back order, as soon as the phone has been received and is ready for collection you will receive an email update as mentioned here: Getting your order
When you placed the order you would have been given an order number, you should still be able to check the order details from there. When you take out an Evo contract the device part of the contract would be provided as a loan and it would be worth checking the credit check was successful.

I have made a order for Samsung s22 ultra 256gb nearly 2 weeks ago now. Is there anyway of cancelling a order ? I was told it was only a 1-2 week wait at the time and I don’t really appreciate being lied to.

Just says confirmed back order since the 16th March. I was told in store only 1-2 week wait that’s why I opted for the one I ordered because the others were 4-5 week wait on them.

We know how frustrating it is waiting for a new device, especially if the delivery times have changed. If you did want to cancel the order, you can give us a call on 191 free from your Vodafone mobile, the team will be available between 8am and 8pm. If you are continuing with the order, we'll update the order tracker as soon as the phone gets dispatched.

How can they phone from their vodafone handset. That's the whole issue here. Their phone has not been delivered and they would find it impossible to use something that they don't have.
