Phone not working in USA

I've just arrived in the USA (San Francisco) on holiday and my phone will not connect to a network so if I needed too I can't make a call, text or use data. I've looked but can't find a setting to change to fix this. Anyone got any ideas?

Also check roaming is turned On in your phone.

As well as double checking all is at it should be in your Myvodafone.

The network your latched to maybe having it's own issues so choosing another one in your phone's connection settings may help.

Sometimes it is the phone itself so as a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone.

Ultimately Vodafone can't guarantee everything will work when roaming as they have no access or control to a foreign network.

If your phone is unlocked to all Network's you could consider using a local sim card  - just a suggestion.

I was in New York and Washington DC.  September 2022.  The T mobile network was less than useless.  I basically had no phone service my entire time there and bought a local sim card.   My phone would not automatically catch ATT as per Vodafone’s website.   I called Vodafone customer service and spent one hour trouble shooting to no avail.  Its shameful for Vodafone to have not yet found a solution.   They should pay up their partner networks and give us same service as regular T mobile or ATT customers.   This is a violation of our contracts which allow free roaming in USA.   I am very diaappointedz.

I was in New York last month with family. 

All three phones did not have any issues with Roaming.

Got a Cross Country Road trip end of this month, will be a good test of Roaming.
