So I joined Vodafone in February this year, and after an Android upgrade my WI-FI calling stopped working.
The engineers tried in vain to resolve the issue (it has now been resolved thankfully), including resetting my line, which I now find out cancelled my contract and started a new one at an increased price.
I have tried to ask the advisors what has happened, and all they keep telling me it that's it's because of the yearly price increase.
My "estimated" bill before the mid cycle price increase was £25 which suddenly jumped to £44.19 (Which has now come back to £28.06 for the actual bill.
Do Vodafone just increase everyone's price irrespective of what contract you are on and how long you have been with them? (Even 2 months)
Why did it change mid cycle only after an engineer reset my line? (And my contract)
Am I not supposed to have received some communication from Vodafone to advise of any price increases? (Which I have not received)
I just feel that had the engineer not messed about with my line, my last bill would have still been on the old price.

I got an email notification but only after they put prices up, not before. 🤷🏼♂️
Not to bothered though as i'm leaving Vodafone (mobile) sometime this or next month and going with the likes of ID Mobile or Smarty. Get better signal, more data, lower prices and the price of their SIM plans never increase every April unlike the main networks. 👍

Yes, even new customers get the yearly price increase.
You should never sign up for a mobile contract in the first few months of the year if you are able to hold off. Wait till the price rise cut off.
