Refunding a Pay Monthly Phone

Hi Community,

I'm about to purchase a new phone with a monthly contact as a Xmas present, but I would like to know what the refund process entails, should the phone not be desired by the recipient of the gift.

I understand that if a refund is requested within 14 days of receiving the phone, there should be a hassle-free refund.

But I would like to specifically know, during the 14-day cooling off period should the phone be used, as well as Vodafone's mobile network to access the internet, would mobile charges still be applicable for the duration of usage of Vodafone's services ?

Many thanks for reading my query. 🙂

You will be charged pro rata line rental airtime for the time services were provided @VictoriaD , if you have a direct debit set up leave it in place for Vodafone to take payment, the direct debit will automatically be cancelled when any charges have been taken.

If you decide the phone is not right for you speak to Vodafone though Customer Service channels they will give returns advice.  As far as is known if more convenient, you can return to a store.

One thing to remember if you agree an Evo contract with an airtime contract from this link  Evo when you return or cancel the device plan this will continue on a 30 day basis and will need to be cancelled.
