So frustrated! Alexa one help needed

I am so ARGH!!! Ok so my phone is in my ex husbands name (I pay the bills) I've been  trying to sort a transfer of ownership from my ex over to my mum (I wouldn't pass the credit check) 

I've literally spent days on the phone, hours and hours (we all have) It been an absolute joke seriously. 

 

We are finally at a point where the transfer of ownership has been accepted, hooray! But, they keep saying my ex needs to unpair alexa from the account (I have alexa at my house but I don't see how to unlink it) 

My ex went into Vodafone and they said they have no idea about unpairing alexa and we should probably contact amazon?!?! 

 

Please help me, I'm losing my mind. My ex is about ready to just cancel my contract. 

 

My ex can't get through to an actual person on the phone now all since yesterday. We just need to unpair it, please help

Maybe the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM can help look onto the Alexa position they've raised.

No idea why this would be a stumbling block !

You can enable and disable different devices by going into your Alexa app and choosing: Settings > Communication > Vodafone, then enable/disable on selected devices.

Thanks. I've been in to my alexa app several time but when I click settings it then doesn't have the communications option. I've been right through every other setting tab and see no reference to Vodafone at all. In fact it asks if I want to link it? Lol 

He doesn't have alexa and never has so it has to be related to mine. I just don't see vodafone anywhere in my alexa app. I'll keep looking though, thank you

Are you sure you haven't had any other Amazon account? Speak to Amazon and ask them to look if there is any other active account for the phone number in question.
