Hi everyone,
I’ve got a Vodafone Unlimited Max plan, and my download speeds on 4G are absolutely woeful. I’ve got good signal (3-4 bars and 4G), but my speeds are at 1.4 MB/S. It takes an age to load webpages, if someone sends a picture message through iMessage it takes around 3 minutes to download.
This happens in more than one place in my local area, I’ve checked for mast issues on the status checker and there are no problems, I’ve even switched phone and the issue still persists. I’ve contacted Vodafone who have suggested a sim swap but from previous experiences this usually makes no difference whatsoever. It’s getting to the point now that’s it really causing issues. Never had any of this when I was with o2.
Are there ways out of the contract considering I’m not even getting the lowest quoted speed on 4G of 3.8 MB/S?

Hi @Liam2594! With our Unlimited Max plan, you should be getting the fastest available speeds in any area. With the speeds you've mentioned, there are a few things we can check to find out what may be causing this for you:

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
The APN's match exactly, yes.
I've tried three different phones (iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone XS & iPhone 12 Pro) and the low speeds have been the same on all three devices.
It happens in two places mainly in my local area where I live and work, however it seems to be as bad across all of my local area. The data speeds don't seem to improve anywhere if I'm honest, however I can't say that I've travelled much to see any difference. There's not really any issue with signal, its the terribly low data speeds I'm getting which are at points throughout the day rendering the phone completely unusable.
