Upgrade - Not happy

Hi there, 

I’ve been with Vodafone since 1997 and I went to upgrade today. I was advised that I would get a discount of 15%. 
So, the advisor goes through all the details and says at a cost of £56. I was online at the time and said I could get it for £57.40p online with Vodafone and don’t understand how that is a 15% discount.  The advisor said that’s the best he could do. I asked for my PAC code. I am thoroughly disgusted with Vodafone. Considering Sky can give me the same phone and more data for £9 a month cheaper. 
From a bit very happy chappy.

Vodafone seem to have lost any value for existing loyal customers, I’ve been with them 20 years or more on payg then contract, they emailed me saying I was due an upgrade so I had a look and decided I would only to be declined because of the credit check, the past 15 years or so of being on contract and never missing a payment count for absolute zero.

I usually suggest to call 191 and choose the thinking of leaving option which should lead to the Retention Team.
