Although I've only had my current phone since November, when I open the My Vodafone app it says I'm entitled to upgrade now. If I click on the link, however, it says call 191 or start a webchat. Does anyone know why I've been offered this very early upgrade and why I can't do it online as usual?

Are you on a SIM only contract?
You can usually 'upgrade' to a handset plan after 3-6 months depending on your initial credit check however since the introduction of the Evo plans you will be re-credit checked as it's a new line of credit.

I'm not on Sim Only, I got a new phone.

Curious!
On an Evo plan or through a third party like Car Phone Warehouse?

I'm not sure if it's an Evo plan, doesn't mention it on My Vodafone. I got it online direct from Vodafone. It came with Xtra benefits, if that means anything. The device is paid for separately.

I think it best to follow as directed and call 191 or use Live Chat to ask this question and or contact the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries and they'll advise after accessing your account @raymartin52

Turns out I was due an upgrade on my smartwatch. I accepted and my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic arrives tomorrow.
