Voicemail not working correctly

If I reject an incoming call it's diverted to voicemail correctly. If I just don't answer it, however, the call just ends. I've checked my settings and they seem OK (AFAIK)  Any suggestions?

Type *#61# and dial it as a number. The screen should advise if you have the divert set up for not answered. 

If it says it is and diverting to 121 then that is strange.

If not, type in **61*121*11# to set it up.

Then you'll be good

Diverts are all set up correctly. I don't understand why one works when another doesn't, as they're both set to the same value.

I think I've stumbled on the answer. I set call forwarding to forward all calls then set it off again. That seems to have cleared whatever was amiss.
