I have given a PAC code to my new mobile provider. I obtained a NUC code from Vodaphone but my phone still displays SIM NOT VALID message.  I have doubled checked the codes. What should I do next?

Hi @WILTSMAN

You don't mention the phone you are trying to unlock. With some better information you will get a good response. For a quick solution you may be able to find some previous answers from the unlocking board.

Thank you. It is an ancient Nokia 1600.

This is a post in regards to unlocking a Nokia phone albeit not your phone model but it may help.

Nokia-6300-Unlock.

Vodafone's help page is How-do-I-use-my-nuc.

There is some unlocking info in unlocking-instructions-for-nokia-1600

"If you receive a code without the #pw+ at the beginning or EG +1# at the end, then you need to add this to the code before you enter it.

For example, #pw+ nuc code +1# (Should normally be +1# on the end)."

And "How to enter your Nokia unlocking code

Use the * (Star) Key to get the p w and + characters.

Press * key 3 times for p

Press * key 4 times for w

Press * key 2 times for +"

Bandof Brothers,

Many thanks indeed. Once Vodaphone reactivated the sim your solution worked. Brilliant.
