Hi,
I've received the instructions from Vodafone, that i need to add a non-Vodafone SIM into the device, however, i've followed every processes yesterday (and once more this morning), even following the Apple website instructions, and nothing has changed. It still says SIM Not SUpported. Is there a time frame from the email received to the unlocking of the phone?
Thanks,
Sami

The email from Vodafone can be a little confusing.
Typically the iPhone isn't actually unlocked at this stage.
As its Apple that carry out the unlocking centrally it can take them approx up to 30 days to carry out Vodafones request.
Periodically inserting the alternative network sim card in that period is best practice.
The sim card needs to be activated i.e connects to mobile data etc.
Sometimes hooking upto iTunes can help.

Hi,
i've tried plugging the phone to iTunes. I see thanks for the clarification, so it could still be another 30 days basically?

Possibly Up to another 30 days.... yes.
It may unlock quicker too @samiedrc

Hi,
I've just contacted Apple, and they are saying that Vodafone needs to unlock the phone.

Apple can't unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier. Only your carrier can unlock your iPhone.
This sounds like going round in circles. Any advice here?
Thanks
