Unlocking samaung a5 to use on another network

Hi,

I have a samsung a5 phone that requires unlocking to use on a different network. It is not my phone and belonged to a family member who has passed away, I don't have access to the registered email address for the phone account.

How do I unlock the phone?

Hi @SimonJE, firstly let me offer our condolences on your loss.

As for unlocking the phone, if you're unable to access the email address registered to the account, you'll need to use the phone with an account registered in your name for 30 days before we'd be able to unlock it. The easiest way to do this, is to pick up a Vodafone Pay as you go SIM, register the account to yourself. Use this to make calls, send texts etc for 30 days then fill in our online form and we'll be able to get this sorted for you.
