I have a Vodafone Curve that I have not used for a couple of years. I was going to resubscribe but the app does not work. Tried to download the Vodafone Smart app but that seems to require a Qatar phone number. Had tried your chat line and they gave me a phone number that I cannot choose any sensible options without it disconnecting! Can the Curve still be used (and if so how as the app does not seem to work in you are in the UK) or do I have to throw it away?

Hey @Joanwebb99 Can you confirm if you're a Vodafone UK customer. As you've mentioned requiring a Qatar mobile number.

Such a useless timewaster answer. What difference does it make if Joanwebb99 is a Vodafone customer or not?
Just be straight and admit that Vodafone screwed thousands of people who invested into Curve and now that's all gone because the product was discontinued without an option to migrate to another platform.

Well said
mum furious about it
mum disabled and was using this tracker on my assistance dog
I can’t even use it to track anything at this point as it won’t connect with any Vodafone app on Google or on the App Store
personally think we should be able to trade the curve device in for gps tracker that’s working and if Vodafone doesn’t have any they should send us the tile gps trackers that have replaceable batteries in them so we aren’t abandoned by Vodafone

Hey @Loz010 I am sorry to hear that you have been left feeling abandoned. The decision was made to stop the Vodafone Smart SIM Connectivity service after a long and careful evaluation of various factors. As we were aware that customers would be using various tracking devices for a variety of important reasons, we began notifying customers of the plan to end the service back in May 2024 to allow enough time for customers to find and set up replacements before the service stopped. We also sent out notifications via the app and email and offered a months free subscription as a gesture of goodwill.
Again, I am sorry for the way you have been left feeling and for any frustration this decision has caused.

I downloaded the app in desperation to make mine work
I gave my uk phone number well as many digits as it allowed
pressed next and it sent a code to my email
I confirmed the code got through to next section
it wants the device ID
I’ve no clue what my curve device ID is
i tried every sing code on the back of the box and all were invalid
I’ve no clue how to connect to my curve at this point
it’s becoming very frustrating and seems like us uk users have been thrown away without even an explanation or an alternative gps device to use
Vodafone got our money for the curve and accessories extra money and got our subscription fees and them
disconnected the smart app from working
it doesn’t seem to connect to the App Store Vodafone Qatar app so we U.K. residents are stranded
