Hi martgree,

Your problem is also certainly due to a degraded power supply.

Replacement power supplies can be found on Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10 - 12 inc. delivery.

In the meantime, have a look around for a similar unit that you could try to prove the fault. You require a 12 volt supply with a capacity of  at least 1.5 - 2 Amps with the correct connector. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, routers, printers etc. etc.

Regards.

I didn't believe it but a new power supply worked perfectly. Who would have thought the crappy plus net router would have ended up being so useful.

The power supply for the plusnet adsl/fiber router works perfectly. 12v 2amp.

thanks for the help

It's good to hear that your old router power supply solved the problem.

However, being a used power supply, I wouldn't trust it to give good service for too long, so it might make sense to purchase a new one when you can.

At least you should be ok for the near future thou.

Good Luck.
